The aim and purpose of the Arsenal Institute for Film and Video Art is to share and appreciate international film culture: At the interface between theory and practice, Arsenal provides a space for thinking creatively about film and for broader culture.

In the movie theater the focus is on independent and experimental filmmaking and, as an interconnected platform for communication, we promote dynamic interaction between film, study and art.

The program on offer includes international film weeks, retrospectives and tributes, classics of film history, seminars and symposiums and premieres with directors and producers.
